Atlanta's beauty industry stepped into the spotlight last night, Sunday, August 23, 2026, for the 1st Annual Opulence Beauty Awards Gala, created by Ms. Tanya Sutton. Hosted by celebrity makeup artist Freedom on the Beat and Nikki Lee, the glamorous red-carpet affair celebrated the talent, artistry, and influence of beauty professionals: from salon owners and makeup artists to celebrity hairstylists. The evening also reflected celebrity fashion style, fashion and lifestyle trends, and the close connection between pop culture and fashion within the Atlanta beauty industry.

The evening was a true display of self-expression, both on and off the stage as each nominee and recipient were celebrated and embraced amongst peers. Guests arrived in exquisite fashion, serving head-turning looks from statement shoes and glamorous gowns to flawless makeup.

"You are the art of self-expression and joy," Tanya told the audience, capturing the spirit of a night dedicated to honoring creativity and individuality.

Days before this great Gala, Tanya shared, "I'm just a young lady from Englewood, the southside of Chicago. My imagination will grow every year towards this project." She added, "I am quite amazed of what I am expecting for this first annual Opulence Beauty Award Gala." Amazed we all were as this event had a great turnout, great music, drinks, and vibe.
